Re: opinions/what would you do???

I merged the two threads Mel..

Do you have to repair the car, or is it already fixed, with just a salvage title?

I have no problems owning a salvage car if it is fixed properly.

either way your car is getting paid off right mel?? i say get the mach and blue becomes the DD ...it already has the damage and all...its is a nice car but the mach is such a better platform....4v and comp. orange is such a sexy combo!!!!! plus down the road you can supercharge the mach and you will be ages ahead of the 2v in blue....

im a little biased since i have ALWAYS wanted a mach since i saw it unveiled at the mustang cruise i went to in 03 we got to sit in it and basically do anything besides drive it ....i was in love!!! the look of that shaker is also cool from the drivers seat perspective

First, does it have a clean title or not?

Salvage title=NO as you'll NEVER get what you paid for it out of it if you ever decide to sell it.

Frame damage also is a bitch so you should probably get ahold of the shop and see exactly how much it'd cost to do what you want before you decide anything.

And btw I know its not my business but your husband might want to just take a step back for a second and chill. Ultimately it's your choice on what you want to do, don't get talked into something you're not comfortable with and if he really wants you to be happy he'll respect your decision and trust that YOU know what's gonna make you happy in the end. If that happens to be just sticking with what you have and upgrading it then so be it.

All of Bill Fox cars have salvage titles. Also all the cars he sells are TOTALY redone. You can not tell they are a salvage car. Also if you are buying a car with a salvage title, you know up front that it is not an investment car, it is a daily driver.

This is the car I bought from Bill Fox. It is a big peice of shit, but I will get what I need out of it. He would not rehab a car like this. It is a parts car, that is it.

This is the cars he had for sale when I picked mine up. These are all slavaged cars and they look 100% in person.

what kind of price are we talking Mel? I agree with Matt. I have no issues with a salvage titled vehicle myself. It must come with a cheap price tag though.

These might be cars with salvage title. But these cars are as close to new as you can get. I would buy one of these cars from him.

I agree, but not for 18k with a salvaged title. It cant be worth more than half of the asking price.

You need to remember that when you are buying a car with a salvage title, you are not buying it as an investment. To buy a car in the condition these cars are in with a clean title will cost you probably 3-5k more.

I wouldnt buy any car as an investment, but Im not gonna argue with you. I will never be convinced that a mach with a branded title would be worth full price... and worse off MORE than what clean titled Machs sell for.

If clean title cars in the same condition sell for less then I will agree with you. I have not looked into what they cost because I am not in the market for one right now.

You also need to realize I have seen these cars up close. I have seen inside of his shop. I have talked to the guy for a couple hours. I feel that with what I have seen and heard out of his mouth he a very reputable guy.

But knowing what you guys know of him, I would be just as sceptical of him and his work as all of you.
