So, while changing the oil pan gasket I broke the electrical connector that connected to the low level oil sensor. Do I really need this sensor? I did some searching and saw a cpl of posts of people taking them out and using a bolt to block off the hole. My question is what do I do about the wire? Is the car going to think the oil is low without it not connected to the sensor? I don't want a check engine light or low oil light on all the time.
