When I did mine I just popped the ball joint, that way I didn't have to mess with the strut at all. Was pretty simple.
I agree 100% I am waiting to to get my springs untill I have amassed all the parts I want to do such as upper/lower control arms, new shocks/struts, balljoints, tie-rods, and new bushings. That way since it's all apart, I can just replace it all in one day.SilverSol said:make sure, especially when your lowering your car, to get everything done at the same time...struts,shocks,cc plates,etc.
