no chance in hell i would drop a ls-what motor in a mustang, if i wanted a ls motor i would buy a f-body, but that'll never happen again in my life time

I'd like to have an LS equipped car and would most likely get one if I were to buy a somewhat lower priced car right now. I'd either go with 99+ cobra or 98+ camaro<:eek:uttahere: ..But, if the price was right I would swap an LS motor into the stang, since it's an obvious and undeniably awesome motor. In fact, I would pretty much drop any great performing eight cylinder motor into it. Four and six cylinder motor swaps into stangs are where it gets weird, even if some would haul ass.

It seems like 414rwhp wouldn't pull an 11.20?

Anyone know any build-threads/writeups on a 4.6 to LS1 swap into an SN95?

If i wanted an LS based engine i would have bought a Trans Am(which i would do in a heartbeat if i could afford it) the thing i liked most about the old camaro's and Trans am LS1's was they were still Pushrod powered... Ford went to those damn OHC engines... BOOO :nonono:

If you ask any of my friends, they know it... yeah, i love mustangs, and i would never trade or sell my '95, as it's been my dream car since i was little, but assuming i could afford both, i would buy a black '02 Trans Am WS6 faster than you can blink... throw on a cam, and an intake, get rid of the underside of the box for the air intake, slap on some welds, and maybe a minor port job on the heads, with a small shot of Nitrous... hello high 10's.

Why no 4V Modular as an option? Its becoming a popular hot rod swap and is also all aluminum and has high flowing heads stock. The prices of the earlier 4V's are even getting to be reasonably priced. Its not gonna get you 400rwhp with just a cam(s) swap but we all know what a little boost will do.

That Skyline motor in that one movie would run your car down like it was one of those little antelopes on National Geographic.

I don't know how the big three did it, but somehow they made motor swaps taboo. I know my grandpa didn't care a bit when he dropped a 393 Hemi into his Ford Anglia. The people he raced cared, they lost.
I love Anglia's. Heres a pic I took of one at Grand Rod Run last year in Pigeon Forge.

As for the topic, if I had the chance to put any engine in my car, it probably wouldn't be an LSx. It'd be either a big cammer motor, just because they're badass, or a 03-04 Cobra motor, 408W, or a 5.4 mod motor.

Yeah, I only ever saw pics of it, he still had his Olds and Ford hotrod when he passed though. His roadster has an original Edelbrock slingshot intake on it, lol. His Anglia was a coupe though.

I wonder why I don't see more cammer crate motor's, that would be a sweet swap for a 96-98

You talking about FRPP 5.0 Cammer motor? Probably because they are 14k from Ford.

I know, but for 14k, it's complete, 400 N/A hp screamer. People who want max N/A probably push close to that anyway, if you really broke it down.
