Haven't seen anyone here with it but I followed the link on the corral that shows all the progress and work done, only problem I see is how high the snout sits, even with a big cowl hood I don't see how it would clear.

I'd be concerned with belt routing. On the instruction diagram, the single belt diagram looks like it will slip for 2 reasons. There is not enough surface area on the s/c pulley, it needs to wrap over 50% of the pulley. And the only tensioner is the OEM, on a Fox you can move it with your hand. I just don't think that will be enough to keep the belts from slipping and self destruction. I bet there's a solution, neat idea, but I also see clearance issues.

Well it shows three different ways to run the belt. I dont have my mustang at home right now, but is that idler pully by th s/c there or would one have to be installed there?

I don't think you save any $ or gain anything buying these kits. I mean there are boatloads of s/c kits for 5.0/4.6, and to get something that someone makes in their garage is a crapshoot. It may work well, but if it does not, or has issues with a component, are you going to get support to make it right? That's what I'd be worried about.

I'd go with a used Vortech/Paxton/Procharger/KB any day, unless it's a proven part and feedback is good. I don't want to have the 5th one in existance.

Thanks for all the replies. You guys have kinda steered me away from this kit. How much does a used vortech usually go for?

I got a intercooled procharger for a Fox for a grand on craigs. I'd say $1000 give or take, depending on how complete it is.

It is kinda ugly. Ill just have to look around for a used supercharger, but I just don't wanna get a used one and have to have it rebuilt right away

Run like hell, those guys up and vanished a while ago with a lot of ppl's money, there is a bigass thread over on the Corral with a LOT of pissed off people. Also the fact that you can't intercool those units on the 5.0 and you CAN with the Vortech if you get creative. Even though you really don't need to since non-intercooled it'll make more than enough power to shatter your block into a bazillion pieces if you let it. Get a used S trim and don't spend more than $1500 for it. Find one from a seller with good positive feedback and it should not be an issue. You can also rebuild them yourself for a lot less than what Vortech charges. Just be aware of all the different trims. If you can find one of the newer self contained ones (V-3 IIRC) that doesn't require an oil feed line then jump on that thing like a fat chick on a box of Krispy Kremes. But any low mileage V-1 or V-2 is a winner and you'll be much more likely to find one of those especially at the $1500 price point.
