]ok guys first off i apologize because i know this question has been asked a million times but im out at work and internet sucks! i just purchased a 1992 sc auto, that has a good running motor that a want to swap into my 1997 mustang 5 speed, that has just been abandoned for quite some time now! what all is required for this swap being that i have a whole parts car. mustang already had 8.8 with 3.27 gears and dual exhaust. ive tried to search my self but internet is soo slow its very annoying! im hoping someone can steer me in the right direction. Is tuning required, since I would have SC ECM?

If you have the whole working motor, drop it in complete.

The guide is more for people trying to retrofit it onto the 3.8L Mustang motor.

Yes, we are saying pull that motor, drop it into the mustang, but put mustang motor mounts on it.

Then, buy an SCT tuner, and get it flashed for a supercoupe motor. VMP could do it easily.

I have a SC engine in my 97 mustang. All you have to do is use the complete Sc engine and use the Sc cooling system and intercooler. Then get the Tune for it make sure you use the Sc flywheel do to it having a different balance. [internally Balance] I modified my master cylinder so the front brake line cam out the front of it instead the side in order to have more room and not rub on the intercooler tube. You need to make the coil wire longer do to the coil been on the drivers side instead of the passenger side. You also have to make the Iac air sensor wires longer so they can reach the new location on the cooler return tube. [you may have to change the plug on the end to fit the Sc sensor] Then enjoy the Sc power in your mustang. I hope this helps if you have need any more info just ask maybe I can help and good luck.
