ttocs your good with this stuff.. I added my bezel finally and in the process one of my connectors came off and zapped and blew 2 fuses. Replaced them both and no the radio works again but the speakers do not. WTF happened? ?

Check the remote turn on wire on the back of the deck. Blue/ or blue/white and see if it has a fuse on it and if its blown. If it isn't test it and see if it has power when the radio is on, if it doesn't disconnect it from the deck and just wire the remote wire from the stock hrns into the ignition wire in the stock hrns and it will turn on/off with the key.

Thanks Scott I'll check those wires when I get home. I had to run my own power wire already for some reason. But not really sure why. The fuse sounds most likely since I heard a pop when everything went wrong

check all your fuses under the dash and under the hood. Takes less time then figuring them out in the manual and then you can be sure its not a fuse.

Yeah I had checked those right away man that's how I found the blown 15 and 10. I'll check behind the head unit later on

Nothing behind the head unit fuse wise is blown. I'm at a loss now. Did I fry BOTH amps from that little pop?

I bet that's it guys. I'm out clothes shopping with my girlfriend but before I left I noticed a blue wire all unplugged and tucked away and it scraped some metal and I heard static through the speakers... man these cheap ass connectors kill you sometimes.. Hope that's it. I'll find out later

What kind of connectors are you using? If the blue wire shorted out and there is no fuse on it there is a good chance you blew the output. If there is no power on it with the radio on then disconnect the wire on the deck-side and connect the blue wire on the car-harness and simple connect it to the red wires and the amps will turn on/off with the key.

They were the shit twist kind. I ran out of the crimp style and didn't feel like going to buy more... guess I'll be going to get the crimp style..

Twist nuts are for home use and have NO use in cars. They will fall off on their own and leave only the spring holding the wires ready to short out. Next time if you have the choice between wrapping your wires with band-aids and twist nuts, get more band-aids....
