No I swapped that out awhile back & it worked fine...
what i could tell you is that i just had my car painted, So
they removed the mirrors & door panels if this may lead to anything...?

I figure that may have something to do with it because it hasnt been working since...

Start by making sure it's plugged in. If it is then check the wiring with a multimeter to see if it's getting power to the speaker.

From there it's going to be a lot of wire tracing to find a break

ah yea that could be it. The speaker would have had to been removed to take the mirror off, I would star there. To remove the grills, start by popping the top of teh triange out towards you, thne you have to pulll the bottom portion down and out as well. There is one screw holding the speaker in place and you should be able to see the connector just under the door panel to ensure it is hooked up.

If it is simply unplugged then you will only need to pull the panel if the wire has fallen down (off the retainer)

Alright so it turns out it wasn't unplugged :angry7:....
But what i did notice was that if id tap or have the tweeter in a certain position she worked
& from what i could see it wasn't like it had a loose wire it all looked intact... WTF :bs:
W.e i managed to get it in there so that its working theres no telling wether or not it'll hold up,
especially with opening and slamming that door. I'm guessing the tweeter in-itself is defected.
ill eventually just upgrade the whole sound system. thanks for the info guys :eek:ccasion14:

Let me know what you think....

take the speaker out of the enclosure and see if it is connected in there. I think it is held in by 2 t15 screws and it could just be disconnected inside

I did both wires were intact i think the speaker its self is faulty.
When I tap it a couple times it works or when its held in certain positions.
No big deal there old time for new ones anyway.

When you upgarde yer system, run 12 gauge wire. It costs alittle more but you'll be happy you did. Things like this won't happen after that. Most "stock" wiring is 16-18 gauge and has like 8 conductor strands.... 12g has 3x that.....
