For a second I actually thought it was the house used for Goldfinger. Looks pretty similar

You have to see them in person to really grasp it.

Mack, you ever been to Neuschwanstein? That was probably my favorite. I also liked driving down "Bergstrasse" while in Germany. 15 castles I think on one road. Just incredible to think at one time those were all little villages of sorts.

Yes, I've been there a couple of years back. However Neuschwanstein is really a fake castle. It was built in the 1890s or so just to show of. It was also the examle for Disney's castle.

My favourites are the real medieval ones, which are modified the least during the centuries. For example, not to far from Neuschwanstein is the castle of Harburg, maybe you've been there too. This castle was built in the 11th/12th century and never destroyed or remodeled.

Yes I went there. I went to many while I was there. I agree it's obvious that it is much newer and does not hold as much historical value. I knew it was the example for the Disney castle.
