I just received the dreaded emissions letter in the mail. Its due in July so I will need to put cats back on there. I was thinking since my car is so damn loud I might as well get a high flow x or h pipe and keep it on there for good. I have no stock pipe to put back on there temporary anyway. I have magnaflow magnapacks on there right now with an offroad hpipe. I was thinking keeping my exhaust all magnaflow and going with an x pipe. Has anyone used the magnaflow mid pipe and hows the fitment and quality? Also, would you guys run h or x with my catback?

I just got one of their catted x-pipes. The quailty of it is top notch. There was a little fitment issue when i was lining up the down tubes from the collectors and i ended up welding in a small flex joint. Other than that it is flawless and sounds great at wot.

I have the Magnaflow x-pipe with no cats and a catback system, its pretty loud [without cats] but its a great sound.
Fortunately my emmisions test is done by a good friend who just passes it for me.

I have a Magnaflox catted x-pipe on my daily driver. The fit, finish, and quality are outstanding. That's why they're so expensive.

I have ran the magnaflow x pipe on 2 of stangs ( 00GT and 98GT ) and the quality is very good, no fitment isses on either car. The sound it makes sounds very exotic, i loved it. I ran offroad pipe on both cars but I had to add cats to the 00GT to pass emissions. I order a pair of random technology cats and I didnt notice any difference in power, if anything they car the car some low end which was fine imo. Dont have any experience on the 5.0, but on the 4.6 the magnaflow x is far better than any other x pipe ive used. I know most dont use a chamber with a x pipe but I installed a bassani catback on my 00GT with the x pipe and R/T cats and it sounded mean. I got a handful of compliments a day on teh tone. If magnaflow made a pipe to fit longtubes id be all over another one

ok so I got the xpipe in the mail today. Looks awesome and no dents or anything. But yes but theres a flaw in the workmanship if you look at the end near the x portion of the pipe you can see a nice slit in the metal. Is actually not even in a seam but a straight piece of the metal. So I am not a happy camper. So now I will need to take it to a shop that can actually weld stainless steel. It doesn't look like a huge problem but its a problem none the less. This is the second time in the past week that I've gotten screwed on ebay. Both with power sellers that have stores. My other one is a broken sub that I now have to send back to them but they will not cover my shipping costs to send them back their defective subwoofer.
