ok guys so i got a hold of a 99 exlporer engine with 98000 miles for 450 complete so i was thinking to leave it like that just change the cam for my F cam and install my systemax intake manifold and throttle body....now is it possible to run the F cam with the stock rockers, pushrods and lifters? I was thinking this because if my head gaskets fail again then i could just replace the gaskets and install my edelbrock heads.....remember this a turbo sn95....any suggestions?

you can't use the stock valve spring with the f cam. IMO do the h/c/i all at once.

id at least do a spring upgrade..... also you will need to check to see about where the tip of the rocker is riding on the tip of the valve.... that will determine whether you need pushrods... other wise yea you can use the stock rockers and lifters.... just need to check a few things first... but definately do a spring upgrade.... as if you dont i can almost guarantee you will start seeing some valve float...

I agree. If your not going to do a spring upgrade. Just run a stock HO cam.
No matter what pushrod length must be measured.
