man o war aluminum block

ok guys this is kinda just an opinion ? or whatever...but i recently moved to Avondale Az to go to UTI, and we all know arizona is freakin hot in the summer and what not well, i do really like it here, not sure yet if i plan to reside here, but i have a 96 v6 mustang but after the money ill be making im gonna most likely put an aluminum man o war 351 style block in her, and my buddy who also goes to uti is in the power and performance, keeps telling me from his instructor that i wouldnt want to bore anything more then .040 over down here for the sake of over heating i was like dude he's talking bout a stock block, and the one im wanting is aftermarket, hence thicker, but i just want suggestions or opinions if id be safe with a 408 stroker aluminum style block with high boost in az temps, now the car wont be driven in the summer during the day of course... just curioust o know what you guys say or think bout it... cause i do know the aluminum block is thick and has better cooling water jackets.... which obviously made for street.... im just curious thats all

the cylinders are iron and you can go up a .125" over bore and it would be fine. that block is a huge waste of money, go with something else

i would just get a regular cast iron block dart or boss. the left over money get really good cooling mods.i tought the man of war blocks were more for racing. arent they like 4500.

they also have a extra row of cylinder head bolts in between the cylinders so if you dont use their heads you have to work around them

well im thinkin i may just go with the cast iron version... 2k and some change cheaper lol... just my personal preference im a huge fan of world products, but i also know ppl that run there blocks... so ... just my preference but yes dart and boss are also great products. thanks for the info guys...
