Manual box Q

Hi all,

Just 2 more quick questions.

Ive sourced a couple 5 speed boxes over here in Japan, but they are out of 3.8 liter vehicles. So the question, if I bolt on a 302 bell housing, will it bolt up to the 3.8 manual box?

Also, ive found a T-45 (i think) thats in a partially stripped 98 Cobra. So if I bolt a 5.0 bell housing to this box, will it bolt up?

the only thing I can say on this is that I would NOT want a 6 trans in my v-8 car, but someone should be able to tell you if it can be done.......I dont know :dunno:

the t45 is a 1 piece unit so you can't take the bell off, it will bolt up to the 5.0 if you thread a couple of the dowel pin holes (from what I've heard). The 3.8 trans will work but won't handle a shit load of power, may be alright for normal driving.
