i was cleaning a Lincoln Mark VIII with a black interior at work. i noticed that the shifter was alot nicer than my 98's shifter. it was covered in leather and had a chrome button. there are alot of Mark 8's at a local junkyard, so i was wondering if anyone has tried adapting the shifter to a mustang.
it had the O/D button in the same location as mine, so i see no reason why it shouldnt work. i may pick up another mustang shifter assembly to adapt the Mark 8 unit to it, so i dont break mine if something doesnt work
does anyone have anymore insight on this?
this is the best picture i could find, the one i would get would be black
and i wouldnt be using the Mark VIII base, just the "pole" and knob
this is the best representation of what i would be picking up at the junkyard
