Mass air flow sensor question....

my car was running kinda sluggish a couple of days ago it seemed like it was not getting good air so i cleaned the mass air flow sensor and after i did that it came back to life huge change but after a few days it went sluggish again what could be causing this any ideas thanks guys.....

Are you using an Oil filter like a K&N? I had the same issue and i Just replaced my maf and put a paper filter in and it runs WAY better than before .

Does it need a tune-up? I thought mine did, wasn't the reason why it was sluggish. It was my MAF. I needed that stuff replaced, anyhow.

How long ago since you changed the fuel filter? Most people neglect the filter, and it makes a huge difference in fuel delivery.

i have a bbk cold air intake and well my tune up is up to date

sometimes those hi flow intakes can deposit oil on the maf. especially if you just cleaned it. i also ran into the same prob as Rice_slayer and did the same thing too. out with the K&N and in with the stock paper. no more problems
