Where is said “factory harness that all the wires run thorough that a 4 amp wire will fit through ”?? Where do I look to best find this? The engine side of firewall or interior side up under driver side dash?you can probably run it through the factory grommet that all the stock wiring goes through as there was always plenty of room for me to run a 4 awg amp power wire through them when I was installing. Otherwise when it comes time to drill you just need to find a spot that you can see on both sides. Say it is 3" to the right of the brake cable on one side, look 3" to the left on the other side to see if it is clear. It is also helpful to make a small hole first and then you can shine a light through it to ensure it is where you want it. Small holes are much easier to fill/fix if it is off a bit than big holes. I normally do a small hole first and then use a stepper bit for the larger.
Thx, ttocs that helps a bunch. And while I’m upside down under there, which wires am I looking for to splice into? Do they have specific colors?realistically incandescent bulbs do not matter +/-, but diodes do. Yes I would do white for power, black for ground.
lay down on the floor on the drivers side and look up behind the clutch area and you will see where all the stock wires go through the firewall. Around the outside of the harness is a really thick gasket that you can poke a hole in with a screwdriver and then run your wires through. You might need to use a coat hanger as a fish-tape to get the wires through.
Is the 190-210* range ok or too high? Wondering if I need a different thermostat. I have the Mishimoto nowIt’s in and functioning properly
It measured between 190-210* on the way home, which was a “spirited” uphill run of 3-4 miles.
