mess up tranny

OK as the title says i mess up my tranny i think im taking it apart right now, i just want to know if there is a easy way of knowing if the rear end is gone to. the tranny is stuck in reverse and you can push the car( and how do you make pics smaller i tried uploading pics but it said it was to big) thanks

with your car on the ground turn the driveshaft to see if there is any play in it, if there's alot, your rearend probably isn't doing so hot.

then jack it up and twist the driveshaft and see if the wheels turn. if there is alot of play before the wheels start spinning, or if turning the driveshaft doesn't keep the wheels turning at a steady pace along with the turning of the driveshaft., or if the wheels don't turn at all,then i'd replace.

i shouldnt have done what i did in reverse i was pretty pissed off, my girl friend said the rear tires were bouncing lol i got a few trannies laying around i can piece together to make a good one.

control your anger man, can't go through life constantly beating on your car when something makes you mad, I did that with my 92, I sold it because of it.

just pull the diff cover off and look. any real issue will be obvious. is your trans stuck in reverse? or only has reverse?
