I'm fixin' to buy an MWG shifter in the next few days, but was wondering if its necessary to get the fully adjustable blue handle? Or would the orange one it comes with do just fine?

This will be my first short shifter.

I was wondering that also, i was just on the site the other night and i saw it. Gone now.

That dust boot is only for if yours is cut. It comes with a boot already on it made to fit inside the factory boot. I have bought two extras of those, managed to tear them when ripping out the motor and trans, then tore it again when putting it back in ;p

Tally, I just installed my MGW Orange a few weeks ago. Best decision for a shifter. Skip the dust boot. I have it but didn't install it. If you have any questions let me know. Their instructions are very easy to follow. Was an easy install.

I love my MGW, which is also my first short shifter. And as already stated, don't worry with the boot. I promptly tore mine.. they are fragile.

Ok so i'm pretty fed up at this point. The whole install was fairly easy and straight forward, but i'm still having a problem with these fuckin' shift stops. So normal driving is usually ok but sometimes i get random grinding when shifting to 2nd, like casual shifting at random times. Then gettin' on it will def. grind 2nd and 3rd.

For the love of god somebody help me!
