So I have had an offroad xpipe on my car maybe a year and its been hell on my 95 mustang gt it makes some noise coming under the trans if the car bottoms out a weebit. Not only that but it makes some metal grind noise coming from the floor it sounds going up hills. So I just got under it the other day and the crossmember looks beat to all hell, theres nicks, metal scrapes, and the hangers of the x and crossmember are really rusty, which is weird since thats the only part of the x rusty. Why would it be doing this? I bought it for a 94-95 and I have only heard possitive things on bbk midpipes. Could I saw off the hangers, and maybe get some more room or should I just get a different brand midpipe?

I had a BBK h pipe for about 3 years and never rusted, go to the muffler shop and ask them to weld some hangers instead of using the rubber ones, that will eventually get wore out and useless.

I have my midpipe welded cause the same reason.

The hangers are all exposed untreated metal, thats why they rust so fast. You can new hangers, grind the old ones off and just weld on the new ones.

did you adjust the midpipe when it was installed? loosen up the bolts, jack up the midpipe, and tighten everything up.
