So I was looking at Hellion Turbo Systems page and found out that they give a military discount. I think this is a sign to get a turbo setup.. i'd of course just do the T76 upgrade but I sent an email and i'll post the actual discount when I get a reply.

B&G vs. Hellion, come on get real. The B&G kit is nothing but turbo and pipes. No K-member, No a-arms, No coil over, No MAF, No injectors, No fuel pump...NO Comparison. Last time I called B&G they wouldn't even guarantee the kit would fit with Maximum Motorsports K-Member much less offer a warranty. If you have the money get a real kit and save yourself the headache.

Its a great idea for a kit b/c not all those things always need to be upgraded, often times they are already done on some mustangs to begin with.

If you want to read up more on B&G kits go over to Turbomustangs and read the feedback they get. Not just one guys opinion on here thats negative. Even on their site it says their kits are guaranteed to fit as long as there is no issues w/ the frame rails so whats that tell you.

the thing is the quality of a kit; i know B&G are still fairly new to the mustang world and they have more of a "tuner" kit but the pipe quality and efficiency of Hellion kits are one of the best. Hellion has been around for a long time and have a great name for themselves. I almost went with an HP kit but i've heard of a issues with their kits.

Maybe i'll scrap it all and just throw twin STS kit on lol

I know hellion makes really good kits not denying that at all but you definitely pay the price for them. All Im saying is do some research before you pull the trigger on any kit. I have 2 friends w/ HP Turbo kits and they are nice, and the wait times are extremely long, and its only gotten worse in the preceding years since they bought theirs from what I have read about them on other sites.

I agree that the B&G is a great tuner kit, which is why I took my time when re-doing my cartech kit and read and called everyone out there. Thats also why I'm saying you can't compair the two kits, there are just too many differences. And I don't need to read others feedback when I have my own dealings with B&G. I've had three different turbo mustangs (91 LXw/HP kit, 98 GTw/hellion, 94 GTw/Cartech/THP modified) with very different set ups. When I delt with B&G for my '98 I did have problems, but the kit was never sent and I didn't have to worry about those problems. I have delt with turbo kit companys long enough to say that it seems to be hit and miss. The one reason I went to B&G was because of all the good things I heard, then I run into problems. I got my HP kit in four weeks even though I heard of long waits (this was back in 2003). So when it all comes down to it, I do agree that research is very important, but sometimes all the research and feedback in the world and you still have problems.

and just an FYI you dont need an aftermarket K member with the B&G kit. That's why it pays to do some research and not just take one guys "that kit sucks" opinion for fact

Ouch, please check again. Remember this is for a 2V motor. From B&G's own website: http://bgturbokits.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=27&products_id=364
!!!!!!!!!!PLEASE NOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!

You must run a aftermarket k member with coil overs. Test fitted with d&d and Qa1 k members only.

Yet again I agree with the research part. However, if you've ever had a turbo kit you would know that an aftermarket K-member is a must have (too many pipes in the engine bay) with a 2V motor, or really any OHC motor. I'm also saying those are the things that make the two kits REALLY different. One is just pipes and turbo "tuner kit" and the other is everything you need without fear of not having everything you need or more important, not working with what you have. Its not a big deal, and for many people the tuner kit is what they are looking for. But if you think for one second that the B&G kit is a complete kit than DO MORE RESEARCH!!!

I had over $4,000 in total suspension at that point of buying a turbo for my '98 and B&G told me they didn't think their kit would work with my setup AFTER I put money down. Ended up being a good thing because I wouldn't have been able to make the suspension adjustments I was looking for. This is where research is very important, know what your goals are for the car. If you're looking for a cheap (inexpensive not bad quality) kit and plan to add all the other part needed some other way, then go B&G. But if you can afford the hellion kit, it just seems it would be money better spent knowing everything was made to be together and not something you have to piece together.

Just a little info from someone who has had 3 different turbo kits on 6 different motor combos. I don't just research them, I own and work with them.

lol, I don't know of any 2V motors in 94/95. And why bring up a kit that the OP is not even looking at. But thanks for the info anyway.

Im well aware there are no 2V in 94/95's. I was correcting the misinformation that you were giving out by stating that the B&G Turbo kits dont come w/ K members as though its required. Yes for some, not for all. That's why no one can belive what they read on the Internet b/c half of what is put out there is misinformation to begin with.

Theres more then just people w/ 2V's that may read this thread

I see what you're saying. Its good to have all sides of information. But its not misinformation to say that the B&G kits don't come with a k-member, its a fact. And on a side note, I belive that the 94/95 B&G kit is a great kit, but the 96/98 kit is just a little incomplete.

well of course saying they dont come w/ the K member is fact but if its not needed for an application then it does not matter, regardless adding a K member to a B&G Kit is still cheaper the the hellion kits. You can delete whatever you dont need w/ the Helion kits but they are still more expensive but on the other hand the newer the model they are for the more they will cost anyway. Fox's being the cheapest..exc exc.
