mini spool help

am i supposed to remove any shims from the sides of the axels when installing the mini spool sides? the axel will not pust through enough to put the clips back on. any ideas?

the shims on the side of the diff? between the bearings and the housing? NO!! don't touch those.

i'm assuming you have the minispool installed at this point and you've put the axles back into the tubes and they are seating properly in the splines in the minispool. you need to shove! the axle and then push the c clip in. if you don't have a buddy there use a ratcheting tow strap to pull the axle in.

with the axels pushed in all the way, and the mini spool on the splines the end of the axel does not stick out far enough to put the clips on

that was the problem. so i guess i'll get a trac loc rebuild ki t

from what i've seen you have to use an open carrier so that the mini spool can go in centered, there isn't quite enough room inside the trac lok diff for it.
