hey guys about a month ago i got my first car a 96 gt on my way home i was racing this 98 z28 and well he won bad. can anybody give me some advice on what mods that can help me but on a budget

one word.... Nitrous

Your mods should be in this order

Gears
PI intake and Cam swap
Mid Pipe
Nitrous or supercharger.

If you are on a budget then just run the NOS as Handz said. For someone on a budget the biggest money waster is putting money into mods that will not do much for you.

so a 98 z28 right... best thing you can do to beat him is pull his valve cores out his back tires. Even with Nitros your probably not gonna walk him. I've been in the game since 01 and i've given up on the camaro beating. We do all this work just to whip a stock z28 only to have one with a cam come up and out run the piss out of us. Just unfair. But o well what can you espect from a car that gains 14 rwhp from a t/b and like 50/60 from a cam vs one that gains like 1 rwhp from a t/b and 20/30 from a cam lol. Good luck dude.

Mustangs are nicer cars but are waaay slower. A cammed z28 camaro is going to walk an 03/04 termie. Forced induction vs cammed N/A thats not good :nonono: hopefully when I get my built 5.4L done I can walk some camaro's.

ya man what really sucks is the camaro guys with ALOT of money. my friend has a z28 with a 402 ls2 motor pushing around 550 to the wheels. spent 20 grand on the engine and putting it together. fastest car ive ever been in. but put a tt termi up against jsut about anything you got yourself an assraping

dude i really don't know....i wish i could do a little test thing.

I hate to keep saying it b/c i'm feeding the troll so to speak but my club's vise pres has a H/C/I ls1 t/a ws6 and he is at 482 rwhp. I've seen h/c/i mustangs get to about 300 ish.
