OK, just got my smog eliminator in and of course when everything is listed for 79-1995, guess what? The pulley if the FOX size. I wouldn't care if I were putting tis on my 89, but I am not. Anyway, enough ranting, for tose who have done te eliminator, what size belt did you run, because of course, my hybrid of a car will not except the original belt (ok, maybe not done ranting yet). Also, what size is the stock belt? Looks like I am going to have to get a little smaller belt. Reason being, the tensioner is sitting on the stop with no tension on the belt. Any info on what you guys did would be greatly appreciated. And as a heads up, I have tried every belt size to just bypass and none fit. My only other option is to get an idler pulley to go on the tensioner.

Take some string and run it around your pullies as you would with your belt, have someone raise the tensioner pulley and run the string back to where you started. Measure the string and take that too an autozone and see if they have a belt in that length. I have to do this on my 83 gt when i deleted the smog. I cant remember what car had that size belt, but autozone had one that fit and i ran it for about 4 years before I went electric waterpump and didnt need it anymore.

Good Luck

why not just send it back and do it and use the money to buy ur belt and be done. I'ver personally done 3 different 3 cars and was able to find a belt to fit without that pulley everytime.

That was my plan, but I have tried every belt size and none have worked. The only other option is to get underdrives to use a smaller belt. Even then I am not sure it will work. Stupid change over cars! LOL Its a love hate relationship right now till I am done with school and can throw real money at her.
