motor shutting off

Yesterday I left the house and while going down the street the engine shut off and came back on. Then a few hours later I coming up on a feeder road and it shut off on back on about 20 times in about 10 seconds. All the gauges went crazy going up and down and all the lights were flashing,anti lock,air bag,engine,etc.... and then just ran great the rest of the way home and has not done it today yet. When I say shut off I mean motor,gauges,radio and everything like turning the key off and when it kicks back on all the dash lights come on like when you turn the key back on. Where would I even start to look? Ignition switch?

How old is the dizzy?
ya might also look into having the alternator ck'd out too. too.

Check alternator and your grounds.... On another site there is a saying; "It's always a grounding issue"
