mustang starter problem

My vehicle is 04 mustang which has a 3.8L 232 V6.
The starter bought on Hexautoparts.com does not work after half a year's use.There is nothing wrong with my battery.It turns but will not engage the flywheel.Is there something wrong with my starter? Have you ever come across it ?
I guess it's defective and will contact Hex Auto Parts about this issue.

its going to sound stupid but try giving it a wack with a wrench, and don't be surprised if there are marks on it from it being done before. They can get hung up from time to time and its amazing how often technical taps can help it work again.

I did everything I could but no luck.Hexautoparts is a reliable seller and provided me a replacement free of charge.I hope this one will last longer.For the price,it's worth buying if you want to save starter cost.
