Never posted the current ride here mostly because at no point have I cared enough to do it... it can't hold a candle to my '97. But here it is

Almost 91K, 5-speed, Pro 5.0 shifter and Steeda (Borla) catback are only mods. Interior Upgrade Package is the only option (literally, no Mach sound, no nothing). Also my daily driver. Really growing to hate it but I'm too upside-down on the loan to unload it. The paint is not faded in these pictures, just some morning dew.

And an '04 I half-drew at a meeting the other day... This is what you call "taking notes"

Monkey-- Thanks- I drew all the time as a kid and up until about my junior year of college. Then gave it up. This was just a quick exercise with a highly sophisticated Bic pen lol. My first dream in life was a car designer, then mechanic, neither worked out (much more fun just as a hobby).

Jones- I would consider it if your car hadn't been involved in a collision with a cow. :D (Just busting on you a little)

But honestly I prefer 94-98's and if you were closer we might be talking about it. Pac Green is a great color. And I prefer NPI low-end, the PI motor is much softer down low but above 4000 RPM it's no contest, the PI comes on like a freight train in comparison. I don't spend much time that far up the tach so the PI benefits are mostly lost on me.

whiplash- thanks, I also think there's still a place for a clean stocker in the world.

Distance can be rearranged :)

Chris- Thanks Currently trying to figure out how to mate the stock shifter handle to my Pro 5.0 base. Seeing some wild solutions. I took the Tri-ax handle off, it's super-light and I think the Pro 5.0 handle's "heft" smooths out the shifts a bit.

Jones- True. If I didn't owe more than the car is worth and if my wife wasn't going to kill me for unloading it (that's a damn good wife if you ask me)...

yea? thats an interesting idea.... I like what you're cookin' up!

Also, i think someone needs new floor mats. :)

The story on those... bought the car at the time of the Oct. 2011 blizzard we had in the Northeast. I was actually going to pick the car up the day that the snow hit, but pushed it up a day so that I could bring it home before the snow started. Good call on my part: the town the dealer was in (Ridgefield, CT) was hit especially hard and spent a lot of time in the news. Needed mats, so I ran to Wal Mart and grabbed these. Yeah, they're ugly as f#$%, but they hold a lot of crap and protect the carpet underneath nicely. I cut a hole on the driver-side mat where the "hook" is (to hold the factory mat in place) so that it doesn't slip under the pedals.

Jonesmeister- $87xx... but what you can't see in the pics: both bumpers need resprayed (the older gentleman who had it before me parked by feel if you get my drift) and it's got some rust (bottoms of doors at the weld for the door skin, a spot here and there on the floorboards). The perks of a Northeast car. The interior is also a little rougher than it appears. Yours is pretty much fully loaded for a GT that year and mine has exactly one option (interior upgrade package). Cow collision aside, from what I've seen of your car, you'd be on the losing end of a hypothetical trade. It's going to need new front brakes (warped rotor on left front, it's already been cut, I think it's just perma-****ed) and other odds and ends. Still, it's serving me well.

Well I appreciate your honesty man I'm tied up about the same amount with my car as well, we still debate whether a cow really hit my car or not, I'm on the fence still that maybe someone kicked it, knowing kids these days they'll damage anyone's car in return for their 5min of what they call "fun", my '96 GT was keyed down to the paint all the way down the passenger side one weekend when I left it at my brothers house while we were camping. Kids today I swear.

I appreciate the compliment towards my car though. But when I do get it paid off next year I would either like to "attempt" to trade my SN for a New Edge Mach 1 or just hold onto it and just buy a pickem up truck.

man, id love to have that car....nothing turd about it i think....

Appreciate the compliment. It's just not that great a 'Stang vs. the '97 GT I had, and almost everything else here.

For comparison sake, my old '97 in Aztec Gold (1 year only color and only 1,135 made). This was taken about 4 months before I sold it but this is the final "look:"

Getting rid of that one was a mistake. Should have toughed it out, saved for a trans, and kept working on it.
