the heads on the 5.4 are PI right? then i could just swap my intake onto them...ill go read up some more on it
yes, they are PI heads. but NO, the actual block is bigger so the intake won't line up with the heads.

If your doing a 5.4 liter swap you might aswell get the 4valve 5.4 liter out of a Navigator. be ready for infamous Injector tick, 5.4liters have loud ass injectors.

5.4 4V swap a LOT more involved than a 5.4 2V swap. He will have a good combo with the 5.4 2V

yea the 4v is more involved. the 2v is almost a direct bolt in comp wise.

Will you need a new ECU or just a tune? I know the 5.4 and 4.6 are called modular for a reason but I"m not sure if this strictly relates to physical parts or if sensors/computer were interchangeable as well.

What about the fuel system? Does the 5.4 use the same injectors and fuel pump? Also, can you pass inspection with a 5.4? I don't know my regulations well but I didn't think you can put a truck motor in a car. :dunno:

Shouldn't need a new ECU for either a 4V swap or a 2V swap. Difference between the 5.4 and 4.6 is the deck height difference.

As far as inspection stuff goes I don't know. We live in Alabama. We don't have inspections or any of that crap.

as long as you don't have a cel you'll pass emission. for safety, as long as your car passes now it will still pass, they mostly check ball joints, brakes, lights and exhaust leaks
