beautiful clean slate to start with. I'd suggest against getting Saleens unless you want your car to look hella sexy. H&R SS is my favorite spring, you could do springs first but don't expect the best ride without some struts to compliment them.

Alright I have a couple questions. Which finish do you guys think would look best for my car on the Saleens or FR500's, chrome or silver?

Ide say go with AM not ebay..

Ide love to see the hypercoat on his car... but they do not make them anymore.. So yes I would say chrome.

Also.. If I was you. Truely I would buy the Chrome ones from AmericanMuscle. Then go to tire rack and buy a better set of tires than what is available as a set with the rims. Prolly save yourself some money too.

Kid. I understand what you are saying, and if he was a tad older, or if I knew he had a consistent job where he could save that much in, well not in a long time frame. I would almost be more than inclined to agree with you. Hell if he looks in the classifieds on coral and svtp he will find such deals on sick TF wheels with tires.

I was thinking of getting the chrome FR500's, just the rims first and then tires after.

lol i dont think FR500s fit the cars lines at all, they just look like some random wheel design. if ford hadnt come up with it, and they were some BBK design, everyone would probably barf at them but since they are ford they must be cool

saleens look good if not played out, FR500s, ill never understand.

but as with all mustangs, modding is paint by numbers.

1) buy mustang
2) go to americanmuscle.com
3) order flowmasters or magnapacks (the new flowmasters?) and an x pipe
4) order H&Rs
5) order saleens/cobra R/FR500/Bullitt with whatever shitty ass junk tire come in the package cuz its cheap, these are clearly the only wheels that can ever be put on a mustang
6) check out
7) floss your shit which is literally identical to every other modded mustang on the road
8) get bored with flossing your shit and switch rims to one of the other four choices above, and add a blower

problem with stangs--i love em, i do--is that they are too paint by numbers, everyone just goes to the same website and orders the same stuff. Part of the problem is these sites like AM make everything so easy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but theres literally no thinking involved; you don't even need to know anything about backspacing/offset etc to buy rims off their site, just go to the 94-98 section and add to the cart. if i want to buy rims or whatever for my camaro, there is no "heres everything!" website to go pick off of, i have to put genuine thought and knowledge into the order before i place it. not saying it wouldnt be nice to have an AM for camaros, but it makes people lazy and leads to everyone having the exact same car because its easier to just go there and order what they have rather than looking elsewhere where you have to put more effort into determining the application IMO.

really, how often do you see a mustang with wheels other than one of those four? pretty much never.

Love the Invos and they shine in the rain. Thats why I wanted to try them. When I drive this car to work on occasion I go mostly highway and those summer thunderstorms can drop boatloads of water but these tires work well in heavy rain at a decent speed.

I COMPLETELY agree with you. This is why I constantly post about not liking Saleens/Cobra R/FR500/Bullitts.

Maybe some of us have no interest in destroying a set of CCW's on terrible public roads. If I pound a replica wheel I have no issue shelling out $150-200 for a new one. I would get tired of replacing $500+ wheels every 3 years since thats about how long a pair will last me. And I haven't found many other wheels that I liked in the under $200 category.

Car looks very nice and clean a good set of 18inch wheels like a 18x9 front with 18x10 rear with some nice 295 or bigger rear tires willl look amazing after you lower it with good struts and shocks and caster camber plates .

I have not seen 1 person in my town with saleens around my area on an sn95 or anything else. Also at the end of the day who gives a **** its his car let him do what the **** he wants .. Saleens looks ****ing amazing on sn95 period so just because you seen lots of them on a sn95 forums you think everyone has them lol .. Really if you want a car to look good and have the stance get saleens or something 5 star with a 10inch or bigger rear wheel .. Also lets hear all the amazing wheels you like so we can all sell are wheels and buy what you like or have >>lol
