beautiful clean slate to start with. I'd suggest against getting Saleens unless you want your car to look hella sexy. H&R SS is my favorite spring, you could do springs first but don't expect the best ride without some struts to compliment them.

I agree .. Its funny the best looking sn95 in the world have saleens they must not look good .. Also everyone has a mustang gt or cobra so there just played out so dont buy them lol .. People are just stupid .. No matter what you own someone else has the same shit so its played out people so get what looks best and what you like ..

there are other choices but $1500 for New chrome saleens and tires isn't bad. The saleens would fit his red vert amazing.

He said he's 20 years old,.I don't know many 20 year olds who can save up 2500-3000 that quick. Wheels change the look of the car dramatically, but I still can't see myself spending that much dough on wheels; especially being only,21 in college and working part time.

Kid9 I love your wheels! they are so sexy!

To add to the "everyone has saleens" thing, I have only seen ONE car with saleens and it was a sexy black terminator. I have not seen any others and I got to mustang meets lol. mostly everyone here has gay bullitts and a few have 17" FR500s that look funny.

I had bullitts on for 3 years. thank God I jumped on a set of authentic Ford Racing FR500s.!!!!!!! these wheels are so sexy! much better finish than the after markets. they fit my car flawlessly and I would not have it any other way! Sure i'm not getting headers anytime soon anymore but these wheels are worth the wait on headers.

Don't make excuses for him, I bought my bbs when I was 20 and in college etc etc etc, take a guess how much I have into them? 1300 with tires . Deals are out there but like you said, its so much easier to follow the mold that AM, cjpp and the like put on for us.

To the op, you can't go wrong with a chrome saleen. You really can't. Yes everyone ONLINE has them but they aren't thatcommon irl. Also why do you think it seems like everyone runs them? Because they look great!

lol i dont think FR500s fit the cars lines at all, they just look like some random wheel design. if ford hadnt come up with it, and they were some BBK design, everyone would probably barf at them but since they are ford they must be cool

saleens look good if not played out, FR500s, ill never understand.

but as with all mustangs, modding is paint by numbers.

1) buy mustang
2) go to americanmuscle.com
3) order flowmasters or magnapacks (the new flowmasters?) and an x pipe
4) order H&Rs
5) order saleens/cobra R/FR500/Bullitt with whatever shitty ass junk tire come in the package cuz its cheap, these are clearly the only wheels that can ever be put on a mustang
6) check out
7) floss your shit which is literally identical to every other modded mustang on the road
8) get bored with flossing your shit and switch rims to one of the other four choices above, and add a blower

problem with stangs--i love em, i do--is that they are too paint by numbers, everyone just goes to the same website and orders the same stuff. Part of the problem is these sites like AM make everything so easy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but theres literally no thinking involved; you don't even need to know anything about backspacing/offset etc to buy rims off their site, just go to the 94-98 section and add to the cart. if i want to buy rims or whatever for my camaro, there is no "heres everything!" website to go pick off of, i have to put genuine thought and knowledge into the order before i place it. not saying it wouldnt be nice to have an AM for camaros, but it makes people lazy and leads to everyone having the exact same car because its easier to just go there and order what they have rather than looking elsewhere where you have to put more effort into determining the application IMO.

really, how often do you see a mustang with wheels other than one of those four? pretty much never.
i agree with this! when i got my mustang i started doing shit to it and never even glanced at other mustangs on forums, lol! but once i started looking on forums at sn's i was like oops! my mustang is def not a clone of EVERY other sn95! im kinda shocked at how little people want to do style wise to these cars cause i honestly think they have potential to be the sickest "looking" car on the street! i ate to say this cause it sounds arrogant which i'm not, but when i show my car all i hear from people is how they dont like these cars usually but how much they dig mine! for some reason though no one wants to break from the norm and really do much style wise to an sn.

I have not seen 1 person in my town with saleens around my area on an sn95 or anything else. Also at the end of the day who gives a **** its his car let him do what the **** he wants .. Saleens looks ****ing amazing on sn95 period so just because you seen lots of them on a sn95 forums you think everyone has them lol .. Really if you want a car to look good and have the stance get saleens or something 5 star with a 10inch or bigger rear wheel .. Also lets hear all the amazing wheels you like so we can all sell are wheels and buy what you like or have >>lol

Chill out, chief.

There are literally hundreds of wheels out there that fit a Ford bolt pattern and the massive wheel wells of an SN95. Point I'm making is that nobody looks around, they go straight to AM and order one of 5 sets (I forgot to include the '03'-04 Cobra wheels in my OP to round out the hand) with junk tires and that's pretty much it. Like I said, the Saleen is good, but it's played out.

Remember 10-15 years ago, before the FR500, the Saleen, the Bullitt, and the '03-'04 Cobra? It was Cobra R on EVERY stang (which are hideous wheels anyway IMO). These other wheels since are just going down that same path. In a few years when Ford releases some other wheel, everyone will jump on it and that'll be the new fad for the SN wheel crowd.

Maybe nobody likes these cars because they all look exactly the same like cookie cutters?

You guys are funny. Whenever I make a choice on buying something like wheels or exhaust I usually pull my hair out for 2-3 months trying to decide what I really want before I spend the money, I don't just buy whatever is on the hot list at AM that week. I can honestly say I have not seen a wheel on our cars that I like a LOT more than the Saleens I have. They fit the car very well and look pretty much perfect on there to me. A lot of people go crazy over CCW, TF, BBS etc because they are rare and expensive when imo they don't always look much better than the next week. Bottom line if someone likes how something looks then who cares what they buy, at the end of the day they're the ones that have to drive their car.

i never really thought saleens looked bad. thats a wheel that looks great on the sn no matter what stance, body kit, bumper, side skirt..etc! for those that upgrade breaks that wheel is perfect! and the fact that you can stagger them makes them more desirable to me. but you do see alot of them, doesnt mean they are ugly or boring, just common.

Could not agree more and I would love to drive your car and it has saleens lol lol ...

I agree saleens looks the best besides anything 5 start with wide rear tire.. To me the CCW, TF, BBS look ok but thats just me .. I think the best looking sn95 there are have saleens.. I seriously have never seen any mustangs with saleens in my area and there are a shit load of mustangs here .. You always see saleens on forums yes but not around town so really there not that played out .. I always see a lot of stock mustangs with stock wheel so I guess there played out ???

well lets be honest, not many 94-98s are seen that anyone really sinks any $$ into anywhere. the only sns i see are completely stock and in pretty rough shape. lotta v6 or beat up gts. so for me if ever seen a 94-98 that someone took the time to keep nice and clean, nice wheels and lowered i would prolly follow him and ask him if he wants to be friends, lmao!!

you've got a lot of opinions for someone that drove a bone stock mustang.

five spoke wheels look best on sn's because they are nice clean and simple, just like sn's.

and tony, I like your car. I used to want that kit for the longest time when I first got my car. my tastes have matured. it's not that I'm scared to stand out, I like the simple, clean lines, and almost every aftermarket body panel breaks that rule.

Agreed. Y'all don't know his financial situation. He may be living with his parents, no expenses, and working at the same time and all his money is for play. He may easily be able to scratch together another grand in a month. Or he could just hound Corral or craigslist and wait for someone to put up a good deal because they need money fast. You know what's gonna happen tho? He'll buy the Saleens and then within 3 months he'll come across some killer deal on a different set of wheels that he wants, and then he'll be trying to get rid of his Saleens. Put money on it.
