As was said above, I would suspect the intake is leaking, mine also cracked back there near the heater hose and did the same thing.

they do the shitty scan... they can tell you around what the problem is... like when i had a bad o/2 the auto zone scanner said A/f ratio problem or problem with the fuel mettering system. Thats all it said... when i went to ford, they hooked it up and in 1 min said it was the drivers side upstream o/2 sensor went bad. Sooooo that was worth it b/c autozone was trying to sell me MAF sensors and IAT sensor and all kinda shit...
