Finally got some time to mess with the dent. Got the old drivetrain ready to pull, just gotta get the hood off now. The heads for the 460 should be done soon, and I gotta find someone to re balance the flywheel. The giant ball Of useless wiring I pulled out.....

Really likin this build... Dents/Bumps have always been some of my favorite pickups right behind the 90's turbo diesels.

Wow... its been a LONG time since I posted this.... the truck was on the back burner for sooooo very long....

Bit of an update tho!!!! For those that remember, and the rest that probably didnt know in the first place, heres the story...

I have had this truck for a long time, and finally got it back out of storage in 2012. I gathered the parts needed to swap in a 460, and was following that path until......

I scored a running, driving 1991 W250 Dodge pickup. This may not seem significant, but it has a 12v cummins in it, along with a kingpin D60 front, D70 rear axle, and a NP205 transfer case. The truck only has about 240 on it, which is when the cummins starts to run right.

SO.... Once my stang is running and reliable, I am going to start swapping the old ford to a Cummins!!! thats right!!!! I sold off most of the 460 parts, kept the ZF 5 spd and transfer case, and plan to swap soon.

The plan is to use the Cummins engine, fuel system, intercooler and radiator, along with the AC and other small parts in the F250. I have an adapter that goes from the Cummins to the ZF5 that was meant for the 460... then swap the transfer case and both axles... and I plan on using the Saginaw steering system in the Ford as well. this should be fun....

Heres a vid of the Dodge running with the current built to the hilt 46RE trans in it

He still has the truck but the main emphasis has been his wife's '79 notchback 4 cyl turbo project lately.
