Ok so I am going to paint the girls black and see how they look

Flat black w/ clear coat
Flat black wo/clear coat
Gloss black w/ clear coat
Gloss black wo/ clear coat


Which one?!?

If you're gonna paint them black, why don't you just remove them? You'll hardly see them anyway :dunno:

Got mine that I painted black from eBay, $12 shipped.
If you leave the grills, whichever you pick, add at least 3 coats of clear.

flat black with clear is going to look glossy, if you clear over glossy paint it's not going to stick well at all and will probably end up looking like crap.

flat black with clear is going to look glossy, if you clear over glossy paint it's not going to stick well at all and will probably end up looking like crap.

You're right. I was thinking a flat clear coat. Not sure they have them in rattle cans yet, but a buddy of mine used the flat clear on his flat black hot rod and it came out great. I should have been more clear.
I think they do have flat enamels now, but, again, not sure if flat clear is avalilable in rattle cans. Which leads me back to pull the grill and put th pony back in - problem solved. Bad Black95GT's offering up one. But if you dig the grills I vote for gloss black with clear.

maybe if i get that, i could get some smoked headlights and get my tails tinted and tinted side markers
