You're right. I was thinking a flat clear coat. Not sure they have them in rattle cans yet, but a buddy of mine used the flat clear on his flat black hot rod and it came out great. I should have been more clear.
I think they do have flat enamels now, but, again, not sure if flat clear is avalilable in rattle cans. Which leads me back to pull the grill and put th pony back in - problem solved. Bad Black95GT's offering up one. But if you dig the grills I vote for gloss black with clear.
