Well like an idiot, I didn't take pictures of the car I took apart today - but I have a few pictures of the treasures I got as a result of the thrash.
A buddy of mine bought a '85 GT with a 331 stroker, Tremec 3550, and a bunch of other cool stuff for $1200. Damn, I wish I got deals like that.
So today we stripped most of the car down for parts; we pulled the motor, tranny, front suspension, exhaust, some interior stuff, the works. I'm trying to piece together some new front suspension for my notch project on the cheap since I'm not made of money. I got this tubular K-member (a PA performance piece) and some tubular A-Arms for $250 from my buddy, and I'm going to mock up some of the March accessory bracket stuff on my motor to see if it would look right. If I like it, I'll get it all anodized black so it matches everything.
Do you guys think that the alternator brackets shown here would look good in place of my existing factory alternator bracket? It would completely eliminate the passenger side OEM bracket, and the tensioner. It would be more "open" and might make more room for the turbo kit I'm thinking of installing on this motor.
Here's the bracket stuff - I obviously wouldn't be using all of it.
...and here's the motor as it sits right now:
Thoughts? Suggestions?
Paul.
