Here's my motor after PI Intake install. Painted manifold, plenum, TB, STB and a few other pieces.

Now I just need to give the rest a good cleaning and figure out an idea for my Alternator and upper rad hose.

Thanks, the color did come out real good

I really wanted to powdercoat but the wallet didn't let me so after painting the manifold radiator cover and STB with a black metallic I used the red on the coolant crossover, alt bracket, TB/plenum and thermostat housing with it

I had done the therm housing in gloss black first but it looked wrong so I redid it in red

was it a hard swap bro?

Honestly very easy, of course I ended up doing it 3 times in a row (1st time had a gasket not seat right, 2nd time the manifold turned out to be defective and had an air leak, 3rd time was the charm) so now I am pretty much an experienced pro at this

The only stuff that was a pain was getting out the water pump nipple and the two bolts on the back of the block for the water pump feed tube

Looks great!

I just ordered some red rad hoses from ebay today.... that may solve your issue too. They were $50 something shipped..

Actually I think I am reaching the max on red stuff, thinking of a stainless rad hose and painting the alt gloss black

I was pissed that there was no possible way to get an air ratchet back there and even a regular ratchet didnt have enough room to "click" more then once

Honestly though about using the sawzall and cutting the bracket off and leaving it there but then I knew I would have to do the same thing to the new piece so I talked myself out of it

How about disassemble the alt. and paint the case that same color you painted the intake? seeing the windings through it would look pretty cool..

Score a cold air intake used, then hit up RPS for some black silicone connectors would sport it all up..

Actually I have am intake business I run on the side so that is in the works, just need to get the car on the track first for baseline runs

When you say the came color as the intake do you mean the metallic black on the manifold or the red of the plenum?

Looks great! Our cars are twins! LOL

Actually it looks like you have the black interior while I have the parchment..damn you!

We aren't that far away (~3 hours total) should plan a meet up/photo op one day

Yep.. I do have the black interior/cloth.

The funny part is I bought my car from New Britain CT originally for $1000...

It looks like our paint is faded the same way too haha... Dang that Laser Red..

We should meet up for some pics haha. Plus I'd love to get some insight on the PI swap and how easy/hard it is to do it yourself...
