Visited the car today and dropped off the extra pieces I am having him paint. Was amazing to see how clean it is inside the qtr panel. It was spotless on the frame rails.

Rim is repaired, going to have new tires put on before the car is done

Not to get off topic, but what front seats are those?

The seats are summit racing ones that I dyed to match the OEM saddle interior. Lot more pics and info here:

Bummer about the accident, good idea getting the whole thing repainted, it will be worth it.

Was a no brainer, no way I would be able to stand the car with obvious blend areas so paying the out of pocket was justified

I'd be real worried getting body work like that done.. There's been enough horror stories like Paul's rear fenders for me. I'm sure you're keeping an eye on the whole process though and it'll look great when it's done. Good luck!

I am friends with the shop owner and have 100% confidence the car will be better then new when it comes home

I agree, I think about that too. my paint is old enough where anything painted fresh is going to stand out like a sore thumb.
