Oh don't get me wrong, the engine/drivetrain can last well beyond 100k miles...but the rest of the car falls apart around it. Sensors go, suspension pieces go, interior plastics start to give out, any and all rubber/weatherstripping starts to go, plastic clips become brittle, etc. etc.
That car was a solid car, I'll say. The lady mailed me back asking if I was looking for something less than $8k, I told her no I just think that car is not an $8k car and told her how the VW dealer couldn't sell it for $7k and then listed some issues it has and said it's a $5500-$6k car, then I think she got irritated since she said okay what are you trying to accomplish or what can i help you with.
nothing really, i just saw my old car online and wanted to know if they had the stock stereo and a carfax to see where it had been the last two months. tomorrow ill email her and tell her id consider buying it back at 5500...but i probably wouldnt, im having too much fun looking at new stuff
