If you could build a 4v build of any kind, what would it be?

Note:
has to be a street "friendly" car (IE: not a trailer queen)
has to perform (not a uber turbo dyno queen)

what choo think? ;)

Teksid block, c heads, forged internals stroked to 5 liters and twin snails! Maybe a little 150 shot too.

4.6 based:
Big bore stroker (5.3L), 11.0:1 compression, ported FR500 heads, FR500 intake, custom grind cams, TSS oil pump, 7500 rpm...easy 450+whp n/a

5.4 based
Big bore 5.4 block (5.8L) or the new GT500 5.8L aluminum block, 11.0:1 compression, ported Ford GT or Cobra R heads, Cobra R intake, custom grind cams, 7500 rpm, 1-7/8" longtubes, TSS oil pump...550+whp at least n/a

High horsepower n/a modulars seem to run very fast 1/4mi times when compared to boosted cars making the same hp. The idea of high revving high horsepower cammed modulars seems more attractive to me, more of a challenge. I can go and slap the vortech blower I have sitting in the storage and make 400+hp on low boost right now but I rather install my comp cams I have and see if I can hit 360hp n/a on the stock longblock.

If I had an unlimited budget it would definitely be be fully forged and bored to 5.3 and turbo(s). I love N/A power, it's truly incredible when a N/A car can lay down 400+, but I just love the turbo spool.

Hell if I had unlimited budged I would have 2 motors, one fully forged, bored, cammed and stroked N/A monster and the other twin turbo. Done.

I like Kyle's idea of the compound tho...

I'd run a Boss 5.3, 10:1-11:1 compression, ported C heads, PSR C lower, B upper, Custom cams, A TSS pump like Mystic suggested (I don't think a 4.6/5.4 should be put together without one personally), and a turbo or a big cog driven procharger. On the fence about which PA. This of course is realistic for me to build. Don't get me wrong I'd love to have FR500 heads/intake or Ford GT stuff but $$$$$$$$.

Though my current setup should run pretty stout N/A once tuned and I'm more than happy with it and the only change I'll probably ever make is the addition of my blower (at least engine wise). Though even then, I'm not one of those guys who needs 1000hp. I'd rather have a usable 5-600hp and call it a day.

whats this TSS pump ive heard so much about?

my engine (probably) blew a bearing - I'll need a new oil pump and pick up system.

i'm liking what you guys are doing, but why so many c-head builds? why no b-love?
