Installed the rear coilovers from my old 96 Cobra as the current owner of that car installed the IRS I also sold him. Also installed the MM road race lower arms, a new set of factory style upper arms and UPR differential bushings. Now to figure out the misfire/check engine light.

Steeda bumper bar installed, new outer tie rods and reinstalled the bumper. Also threw a factory air deflector on until I can fab up an under tray. Also removed the grill because I could. With that big ol gap, I'm pretty sure I'll add the Mach 1 grill delete to clean it up .

Phase three of the weight loss program about got me starting the cage install as that freaking dash is heavy as shit. Didn't get a chance to put the car on the scales as I was running out of time, but I managed to weigh most everything I pulled out. About 100lbs this go round. Mach 460 system, climate control crap, firewall pad and spoiler. Quick test drive around the shop and I can't wait to get this thing on track. This is the lightest Mustang I've ever driven and it reacts just as quick as my Spec Miata in transitions. Those long tubes are also addicting. I didn't think the 2v would sound better than my old 4v did.

*me, impatiently waiting for rollcage pictures*

*also me, wondering how you're running st/tt5 and not 4 or 3*
Having a master fabricator as a coworker has massive advantages. He was actually trying to convince me to not reinstall the dash and start the cage then.

With the maximum factory horsepower rating of 264 for TT/ST5, the New Edge slides right in under the bar. Trying to maximize power to weight by not taking penalties to fix the suspension and chassis is like gambling with a pair of 3s. Also zero aero help as well. Here are a couple of the cars I'll have to deal with

That s2k and brz are gonna be tough
Yeah, those were 1st and 2nd at the last event. The S2K, we actually had both our first autocross together back in like 2014. The GT86 thing is just bad fast and all of the modern awesomeness that is modern fun car. That is something that has accelerated my racing life is having stout competition at every level I've raced at from Time Attack, Time Trials and Spec Miata.

Finally got around to starting the hood project. Cut most of the excess inner frame and fake V6 vent out. Once I get the radiator tilted and boxed, I'll finish cutting out a hole. May cut more of the skeleton structure once I get pins as well. So far five* pounds off the hood.

super cool thread! Just an idea (idk if you need them) but maybe you could pull the wipers and wiper motors to save more weight? no way you plan on racing with that slip'n'slide leather seat, right? haha Wishing you good luck, hopefully this 2026 season is the one!

Even being in AZ, I've already done three rain events in the three main seasons I was going for points series wins. But the motor is very accessable and easy to remove/install. I may do that.

I can't even drive it and my work without sliding out of that thing. I will end up with a cheap basic seat that will then become the passenger seat once I choose a halo seat.

That's a positive/negative with AZ, we race January through December so not much off season or down time throughout the season.

After my kid decided to wait almost a month before starting his motor swap, I decided to steal his intake and throttle/plenum. Just need to install the header cap and the EGR removal will be complete.
Next projects are to install a belly pan and vent the hood, followed by a roll and harness bar.

in just a few more months god will bump the thermostat from "beautiful" to "broil" out there and yet somehow I still miss it....
I kinda like working in the heat. Working in the cold and busting my hand hurts so much more.
