there is no defintion for " almost bone stock"

for starters its on slicks or drag radials as you can see in the vid, second since those cars can run upper 12s on stree tires I could see a pulley swap / CAI / and those sticky tires running this 12.2x all day long

nice run none the less

lol...ok. I had to come back in here. YES! There is a such thing as "almost bone stock". If a car just has an intake or exhaust....It's almost "bone stock".

Agreed.

"Stock" or especially "bone stock" imply that the car is in the exact same condition as it would've left the dealership lot. Maybe a different air filter/intake or a slight exhaust change, but it's pushing it if you have more than one minor mod in my book. DRs/slicks, intake, and exhaust will add a decent amount, especially on a car such as an 03 Cobra, which is known for pulling big HP gains out of minor mods. I remember when a buddy of mine added an intake and catback on his 03... there was a definite noticeable difference in power. For a car that should run high 12s in completely stock form, low 12s with those mods shouldn't be all that tough if you can drive pretty well. I think the whole "near bone stock" thing is just a way of wording it that makes the feat seem that much more impressive, when in all reality it isn't as much. :dunno:

the car in this vid has either slicks or dr's on it......look at the rims on the back in contrast to the front. Like I said this vid gives NO list of whats done to it, so that so called " near stock " could mean a freaking pulley change in which case 50 hp could be had easily. So.....
