Hey all. Im looking at getting a new car for business purposes. Im going to be leasing it. Im in need of some ideas. Ive been looking into the Ford Fusion and those types of vehicles. I want something that is good on gas, but also has some power. Just need some opinions. Oh and Im not looking at spending much more than say 375 a month... Over a 36 month period... Thanks guys!

I personally have sworn off leasing. At end of lease is not a simple buy or walk away. Contract has stipulations that could equal owing large sum for a vehicle you return.

Castine said it. They tried to make us pay some ridiculous amount in repairs (that didn't need to happen) on an 05 trailblazer we had. We asked how much they wanted for us to just buy it.....$17k.

After we had already paid almost $30k. It is a rip off.

I think if you want the lower payment you are better off getting a certified pre-owned with a warranty. Good luck man :)

What always kept me from leasing was the mileage limits. I drive a lot. I don't want to pay for a car that has to sit in the yard because I can only put x number of miles per month on it. I dont know what the limits are now but Ford was leasing them in 2000 with limits of 10,000 per year.

Huh. Good input guys. Well then.... What car should I look at? Im still interested in a 08 Acura TL-S. But I dont know what other vehicle would suite me good. Like I said, I want something safe, fun and something my mustang has never been... reliable....

Acura TL type S is a amazing car

Agreed. But the costs are still a little more than I like. Dont get me wrong, a sport luxury car for 20-24k with the mileage im looking at isnt bad. The bad part is that I would HAVE to sell my Mustang, My SHO and still finance. That and there literally none around here.... ugh....

I don't think an Audi is a good choice if you want something reliable. My bro has an 08 TL-S and he loves the damn thing, very nice car and moves out pretty good. All depends what your main interests are and how much you want to spend.

What about a 08 Passat? The 2.0T looks nice but the 3.6VR also looks like a good choice..... 280 HP aint bad :)

How much would payments be for the Ford Fusion that you said you were looking into? Is buying one an option instead of leasing or would payments be greater than the $375 you mentioned? Top of my head math says $24,000.00 at 4% for 60 months should be close to $375. That is longer than your desired 36 months but, YOU have option to sell it at almost any time.

I would look at how you are planning to drive as well. If you're daily driving this car leasing probably isn't a good idea with those mileage limits.
