Ok so one of my sideskirts is scratched to hell and I was wondering ( because i have an extra set) what it would look like if they were black. The ones that I have are already black so I might just scuff them and spray them satin black to match my lower valence on the back bumper and kind of match the side mirrors and headlights. Can someone photo shop my sideskirts black or do it on a better pic of a whit gt?

yea I really want to try it. I finally have an interview tomorrow after no job for 4 months and doing little side jobs here and there, so after that I'll mock them up take pics then if it looks ok I'll scuff and spray'em. Still looking for a photoshop though if anyone can do it.

lol can someone hep me out with the photshop? Rather see what it might look like before I actually do it. I got the idea from seeing a V6 S197, their skirts are painted a black trim color.

When I said I hadnt messed with Photoshop, I meant color changing... so its not quite like how I wanted it... but you can get a rough idea. The pic I used didn't ahve the trim paint on the rear and i did it quickly so it doesn't look 100% realistic, but you get the idea.

IMO, you should just shave the sideskirts and have the holes filled. I thought about doing it, but didn't and I kinda regret it now. The trim painted just doesnt look taht great to me.

yea I agree, lol I don't like it at all! Maybe if the front part of the skirt wasnt there like 94 , 95 gt's. Anyway I was doing this because I've been on unemployment for ever so no dough for the car at all and was going to try it with what I had around the house but thanks for doin that for me.

if you put black sideskirts on a white car, it will just look like you were too lazy to have them painted.

thats interesting. ive never cared to notice that they are different from 96-98 skirts. after seeing two different pictures, i can tell, but it was one of those things that was so minute, i completely overlooked it.

yea but it still looks fugly. So forget it, just see it on some cars and it looks ok. Like my bros Passat, it has trim colored skirts from the factory same as V6 s197 mustangs. But not my taste after seeing a pic of it and I guess from afar the skirt damage isnt too noticeable. It sucks because the damage is deep into the plastic so i have to get my extra set painted. Might try and go skirtless too but forget what that looks like.
