Ok guys, so I cannot seem to keep the polished aluminum nice looking. They have spots, and stains that cant seem the be removed. Debating on trying to sand them and try to repolish, or paint them black, or silver. If I do silver I may could pick up a sit of the 17x10.5's for outback and paint them similar to whichever color. Help me out fellas. Keep in mind the colors I have are the same colors as the paint on the body of the car.

you are going to sand the chrome down and the polist what is left?

Have tried anything simple like those power/polishing cones or powerball? The cone has kept mine looking clean.

I would recomend powder before paint if you want to color them.

What Product do you use?? Even with Mothers if i took my time my 01 Polished cobra's Lasted a long time in between polish's. I would just wip them down with a light mist and microfiber once a week and they shined great!

Black wheels are gayer than AIDS.

Oh, and I want to part of this thread just to say "that'll look sick brah."

Post up something in the detailing forum, and I'm sure somebody can give you a tip on how to get those wheels shiny again.

Paul.

that time of the month paul? great to see a moderator that is so supportive..

What?!? I'm supportive. I think his wheels look good the way they are. Black wheels are a lame fad, that will likely go the way of huge tachs and chrome fire extinguishers. He just needs them to be shiny again.

I bet if you gave Handz a couple hours with those wheels, they'd be all shiny again. I understand not having the patience for that crap though - I pay someone to do my cars.

Paul.

Gays its all good. Ha. Black wheels are somewhat homo in some cases, I'm just trying to get a feel. I suppose I should just suck it up and put some elbow grease into them, quick whining and do the job right. I
'll drop something in the detailing section, maybe I can get some more help. Thanks fellas.

i hate black wheels. you spent all that money to buy brand new nice wheels that look the same as the junkyard steelies you could have gotten for the change in your pocket.

silver would compliment the two tone very well if you can't get them polished up.
