Since I put the 315's on the car, the stock tips look like pencils sticking out the back. I would like to get some 3 inch tips. I like the rolled look with brushed finish or maybe some stainless tips. What should I look at getting that I can mate to the 2 1/4 inch pipes? I think they need to be 17 - 18 inches in length. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

hell yeah...no way Ide have LM1s without them!

so whats your current exhaust setup right now?

SLP TIPS ftw.... by the way
what you see right there. Stock manifolds, Mac catted H, and SLP lm1s

wait, excuse my language, but holy fucking shit. You went back to LM1s??? Wait, let me say this again. Holy fucking shit. *pinch me* am i dreaming. This is crazy lol... i thought you hated it. I remeber i played a clip of my car with the mac catted h and lm1s and it sounded shiity. How does it sound on the cobra engine? I swear you got flows welded in.

Im sorry to hijack this thread. I thought you hated SLP LM1's to death, scar. Seems you found the light hehe. Well, if you ever need an backup LM1.. you can get your old ones back from me lol.

its a bit loud, but It was my offroad X pipe making it sound bad the last time... I decided I would let the police be the deciding factor in changing my mufflers. THey will stay until I get a ticket :)

Aww, thats great  The Police really dont bother mustangs with loud exhaust unless you ride out 1st gear to 6500K rpm from a red light or stop sign. You should be okay though i think personally. (knock on wood). To me, Flowmasters and o/r H sounds the same as my SLP Lm1 with mac catted H setup. Its just the flows had the tingy flow tone, but it was RAW as the lm1s.

Anyways, sorry back to the topic.

EHhe, SLP TIps for the win!

I am wondering if the SLP's will mate directly to my pipes. The tips are 2 1/2" at the inlet. My pipes are 2 1/4". Can this work?

If not Summit has some nice rolled edge stainless steel tips. They run around $25-$% ea depending on how big you go and I believe last time I looked they had 2 1/4: inlet that goes to a 3" and even 4" outlet and you can get 12" or 18" long.

Thanks for the advice. I like the 3" rolled tips. I prefer tailpipes as opposed to dumps. Duals sticking out back always look good to me.
