On a 98 Mustang, are the V6 and GT fuel tanks interchangeable? And are their fuel pump assemblies interchangeable?

Thanks!

First thought in my head would be to say yes because it would make assembly line install easier BUT Ford has been known to do strange things over the years. PM AtlanticBlue98 as he has probably dropped many V6 tanks.

yes they are the same tank and bucket. the v6 has a smaller pump though so you will need to get a bigger pump. I recommend the SVT Focus pump.

Ugh. lol. This is what I'm getting from the salvage yard folks I'm calling; some say yes, some say no. And no one seems to know for sure. I'm thinking they are, but I don't know for certain.

Yea, I'm using a SVT Focus pump, so I don't care about the pump that comes with the assembly. I just need the tank and pump assembly/sending unit.

it'll work. the only thing different is the pump itself.
