Need help locating a wrecked 96-98 cobra.

I cant find anything of course when I have money . Earlier they were falling in my lap but had no funds. But anyways check your local craigslist for me(all around me there is none), Im willing to drive and pick one up on the trailer. Dont care where its hit, must have below 80xxx miles but will consider if posted up.
Motor/harness and tranny must be complete, not blown. I know you guys get bored so help me out. :help2:

Wow, thats one of highest price wrecked cobras ive seen.. Besides the ones with built motors and s/c on them. Most around my area are between 2500-3k with 4k being tops and being very nice.

Thanks for the link though. Any others off craigslist or someone you might know. I try to aviod dealers like the ones above and mps because it tends to run high.

2500 wont help me get where i want to be with the 5.0/auto. I want 11s , and with the wrecked car, i can part out what i dont need and make some of my money back. Ill take the motor/tranny and brakes then sell the rest. We did this with my buddies v6 car and he actually broke even.n I dont care if i do, but i want to come close.

My motor also has 130xxx miles and i dont feel liek putting parts on it, the tranny is a 4r710w out of a v6 so it wount hold much wihtout upgrading and autos are expensive to have rebuilt.

Thats because he sells them as "rebuilable" not wrecks. These are cars that are not totaled and can be repaired, but for the most part they have popped bags and need a salvage title.

WOW!!! For $2500, I could build you a 5.0L that would run 11's.....

Used 347 stroker kit, solid roller cam, hand port and polish the heads, same with the stock intake, some long-tubes, a new PA Valve body, some upgraded axles, a 4.10 gear, and a 150 shot.... your in the 11's

First off you cant drive a solid roller cammed 347 everyday like I need to. Buying a used kit is very risky too, too much junk out there. I would need a whole new tranny, the one in it is a stock 6er one, wont hold up with anything too powerful. I want a 4v anyways, like the overall driveability better, its an easy swap for me to do, and with all my current parts that i have, id only need to change the motor/tranny/harness and id already be 2 seconds faster with a bone stock motor. And with a car to take parts off of, its a even easier swap and you make money back by parting it out, and then selling what you take out of your own car. Ill get pics of my buddies car we swapped. Guarentee you wont be able to get where he is with the 2500 i have and still have daily realiability and easy to tune etc.. Sorry if i sound like a dick, dont mean to be, just this is easier/cost effective and i love 4v, never really been a fan of 5.0s. Around here the 4vs just run their balls off and theres plenty of people with knowledge to help me.

... what do u plan on doing with a 4v with 2500 dollars to spend thats gunna get you 11s?? just curious, it would be alot cheaper to stay with the 5.0, u should really consider going with used parts if your on a budget, saying alot of junk is out there is kind of irrelavent bcuz you are looking to purchase a wrecked car. used sc(1k) used hci(750 i would guess) rest can go towards tuning,exhaust mods, etc. and u cant say it wont put u in the 11s...u should trust some of us a little bit more, we are all stang guys, for the most part we dont screw eachother. just my thoughts though

we dont have alot of wrecked cobras around here either though, most of them are garage queens

OK put this in all of your heads.. I DONT WANT TO GO FAST WITH THE 5.0! As far as how to do 11s with the 4v, 150 shot (have a kit for one already from a buddy who got out of cars), and some suspension work on top of whats already going to be done this winter. We've done it before and we'll do it again. My local board is pretty much all 4vs so bolt ons are easy to come by. And buying a wrecked car doesnt mean your buying junk. My car was a wreck when i bought it. And yes it looked the same as it sits now, came with almost everything on it. I was just asking people to help me look out for a cobra across the country, didnt expect to find any here particulary.

I didnt know it would become such a ordeal because i want to replace my old 130xxx mile stock engine and a 6er tranny to a 4v. Sorry but im just a little irritated.

Plus not to be a dick or anything but in your sig... you have a powerdyne supercharger, you think im going to listen to your plan on how to go fast? They are almost not worth having, with a h/c/i your close to where you are right now with the s/c.
