need help with the pats system....need help asap..

ok heres my dilema, ive had my car for two years and never had any problems with the anti theft device, and today i went to go to work and it started normally, i got some gas and when i tried to start it the theft light kept blinking over and over and the car wouldnt start, ive been told i need a new car or get mine reprogrammed...help what do i do with my car? the battery and alternator and starter are all good ...any opinions please

if PATS is the problem, either:

1. get it towed to a Ford dealership and have it reset
2. buy a handheld tuner and disable PATS

i only got one key, thats the one the car came with, and since ive owned the pats has never turned on till today, the stupid theft light just flashes and car doesnt start
