I need ignition wires.. ones with good boots and the whole deal.

Suggestions? What size (8.2mm, 9mm et al), brand and part number? MSD offers a dozen different parts under 1996 Mustang GT on Summit and I don't want to play surgeon with a DIY kit.

For $80 you can get the Borg Warner Super Mag Cores at O'Reilly's.

The biggest problem with our cars ignition rest in the coils. There is alot of cross fire between the 4 post at the coil.

Fords and any other aftermarkets only cover a portion of the post while the Borg Warners completly cover them. And they don't slip off! Slipping off the post is a big problem with most of the wires that have the plastic clips holding them down. Such as Fords, MSD, Autozone.

Give'm a try. If you don't like, take them back.

I've got a ricer buddy that made me a believer.

They're coil packs, not coils. And there is no problem with the stock coil packs. I've seen many people run up to 500 hp with stock coil packs.

Ouch! Guys!

Be easy on the words! COIL PACKS! I hope you feel better, you made me feel dumb :'(

As far as the "coil packs" go. If you have the original "packs" your doing yourself in on the upper RPM's. The newer "packs" are only slightly better! Can you see the cross spark while driving NO!
Do the coil end boots come off from time to time.....YES! If you have never exprianced this alone from the Frod wires.....take others advice.

Challenge yourself and take advice from anyone(a ricer guy, like I did), let it soak in your brain, and process what the outcome could be.

$80 a O'Reillys ....Challenge yourself!

FRPP Racing Wires are the best you can get for our cars..

yea.. hes talking about a ricer freind.. he might know whats best for his kind of cars.. but for ours? mine done "slip" off, and neither does anyone elses... FRPP is the most used wire for our cars.. i believe some poeple like livewires and bosch too. but thats about it.. had MSD 10mm on my car, but replaced them with the ford 9mm...

screw msd(although they seemed to work ok) lol

I had the same kinda wire on mine for a while... I liked the rubber boot but after 10k miles the wires broke down... my stock ford ones lasted 95k miles. I'm on my second set of stock wires and i've gotten over 45k on them now. Maybe I got a bad wire or something but whatever... like i said though i liked the full covering boot though.

My question though is where you can get the wires loom things that hold your wires .... ? mine are all busted up and broken.

You can pick those up on ebay for cheap cheap. Also you can go to any Auto store and pick up a universal engine dress up kit with those in there. I need to replace mine too.

If money is no object, Nology are the best. You can feel the difference instantly. But $400 is quite pricy!
