Sorry guys/gals, but the lack and organization of infornation, I need to ask for more info.

I own a 95' V6 and am planning a 94-95' 5.0 swap. I understand it will bolt to my existing k-frame and if I were to swap to a 5-spd, I would need the corresponding ECM, or vice versa if I were to stay auto.

I also understand I need corresponding harness(5-spd, auto) pending which route I go. Now what I am unaware of is the body harness. Do I need to change/repin for 5.0 engine harness or 5.0 ECM? How about the dash harness and instrument cluster?

I believe thats about all the info I could not find looking through 15+ pages here and searching google. Any all help is appreciated.

Once again, sorry for another thread on the swap.

You might as well buy a 5.0L and sell yours. It's easier.
Second easiest is to buy a wrecked 5.0L donor car so you have everything thing. You'll need the the computer, dash harness and engine harness. You'll also need to swap clusters, front springs and want do a rear end swap (you won't be able to put power to the ground through the open diff).

Well, I don't mind the work. Its a long term project as my pony isn't my dd. I also believe in building my car to express me.

I can get a 5.0/T5 swap for $750(includes engine harness and ECM).

I already knew of the Rear Axle issue and planned on an 8.8 swap.

Thanks for clarifying the wiring issue as that was my biggeest concern.

Everybody is a bit different. Its worth it to me and the benefit is learning more about my car and the specifics of the swap. I'm sure I could also sell my V6 setup to recoupe some money(couple hundred buckets at most).

I'd suggest moddinng the 5.0L while it's out of the car to make the most of it. At least take the intakes and heads off for some porting if nothing else. Also take the time to really clean it up, paint it etc - same with the engine bay. Nothing betteer than a nice clean bay/motor to look at after a swap.

REALLY???? Give the info he's asking for, don't tell him to buy a different car. He likes the challenge and also doesn't have the coin to drop like most of us. He's doing what he can with what he has. I've seen other threads where this is discussed as well and the mention never came up of buying a different car.

Sorry for my hostility but I'm tired of people telling others to buy a different car cause they're to lazy tto put in the work to do the things that others are.

I've known of Roush aka "matt" since about 2005 on a few different forums and he's always been tons of help. I don't think he was bashing the OP's choice in any way, just offering a bit of sage advice. It IS easier to just buy a v8 car to begin with, but he (matt) also gave the OP some of the answers he was looking for.

As for the cluster, on a 94-95 v6 there is a spot on the back of the cluster that needs to be soldered, but I'll be damned if I can remember where I read it at to post. It's just as easy to swap in the v8 cluster.

OP if it were me doing the swap (hey what do you know, I AM doing this same swap) go with the fox computer swap. There is a bit more work involved but it's worth it if you plan to do any tuning on the car your self.

It can be done, as mentioned above you need the harnesses, rear end and change the fuel system too.. Also, you may want to consider go Carb instead of fuel injection.

Yeah, I have no issues switching clusters as my odometer isn't working anyhow. As for going carb, I'll stick with what the car was designed with.I appreciate all the info.

Please take the time to read my full post. Had you gotten past the first line, you would see the question was answered.
Thanks for your concern. I was answering more than the question asked b/c 9 time out of 10, the swap question is being asked by someone who doesn't fully understand the question they are asking - so more info is given to allow them to see the full picture. In most cases, the goal of the person is actually obtainable by modification to the V6 rather than over spend for a full swap. I posted the way I did based on 10 years of modifying the V6 in Mustangs to perform better, and 18 years of Mustang ownership in general.
