a week ago i took my car to get aligment done they couldnt get it done my camber was -1.7 (i think mustangs is supposted to have -0.5) they told me get a camber bolt kit that will do,Today i took my baby to get the 18' saleens on,(with the camber bolt kit already on) when it was time to pick my car up they had bad news they said, they werent able to do alingment and my camber was minus two degrees about 3/4 of an inch off :( :( :( :(,doesnt the camber bolt kit helps to get the alignment done? at this point im about to just sell wheels and car :-\

here is what you need to do:

take off the camber bolt kit and throw it in the trash can. prob one of the unsafest mods you can do.
go and get some caster/camber plates (cc plates) and have them installed. this should allow enough adjustment of the camber to bring it back to stock specs.

You're wheel selection shouldn't affect your camber (or caster) it was the lowering springs that increased your camber.

Can you talk to the shop and see how they tried to adjust the camber? Some shops don't know how to align a car with cc plates, they just know how to use the camber bolts.

I'm running 18's with -0.75 degrees of camber (my decision), did the alignment myself....

MM has detailed instructions on their website if you want to know how to setup your cc plates.

i dunno then. maybe set the struts to a stiffer setting (they are the ones in your sig, right?) never worked on a car with QA struts so i dont know how they react to it. i know with mine, it sits a little lower (barely noticeable) if i have it on the softest setting vs the stiffest setting

WTH is a camber bolt kit? It sounds hack.

its basically an off set bolt (you shave off part of the bolt ) that you use to replace the lower strut bolts, and if you manuver then around it will allow greater movement of the strut. thinner bolt = easier to snap, not only that but it comes loose more often and can cause a dangerous condition if it moves enoughs to affect the camber while the car is in motion.

speaking of which, slo94gt, when they put the saleen wheels on there and tried to align it with the cc plates and the camber bolts, did you tell them to remove the camber bolts? maybe its the bolts that wont allow correct alignment of the car.

Print off the MM instructions (for the cc plates) and bring them with you.
